Knowing when to shut up

16th July 2005

After Rick got back from giving a quote he had flowers for me so that told me everything that he knew he was in the wrong. Would have much rather not have had the argument in the first place but it’s done. I have just let it go though as I know, from past experience, that Rick will just tell me to pull myself together and to get a grip on myself.

This morning he was back to being loud/happy again so I have just kept quiet. Went into town earlier and saw Janice so we had quite a long chat with her. Mentioned about Kevin and his weird attitude at the moment which she has also noticed but have told us not to say anything. When Kevin is having problems (had two nervous breakdowns in the past) he doesn’t ‘see’ it and thinks it’s other people …. one of the first signs of paranoia. Fortunately Pastor Cliff knows what he is like and knows how to deal with Kevin. Will be glad when he is back from his holiday though as the church seems to fall apart when he’s not about.

About Philippa

I am married to Rick and we live in a small town in County Durham. We have two dogs, a cat and two budgies. I am also an adoption survivor. In 1981 my son was born and I was then forced to surrender him. It took 23 years and reunion for my to find out that my son's adoption was legally known as a forced adoption and illegal but social workers got away with it because mothers didn't know their rights.
