Love takes many forms for us,
Something that needs little fuss,
A very personal part of our lives,
Something that doesn’t pass anybody by.

Love for me started with my parents,
For my sister too, nothing on rent,
My extended family I have loved unconditionally,
For others too I have loved unexpectedly.

Then one day I learned to love someone special,
That love I held close to my heart for years,
Until he came back into my life so freely,
Now I have my freedom to love clearly.

For so many years I had my secret love,
Given to me from my Lord up above,
But my son wasn’t with me to have,
Now I have him back for that I am glad.

About Philippa

I am married to Rick and we live in a small town in County Durham. We have two dogs, a cat and two budgies. I am also an adoption survivor. In 1981 my son was born and I was then forced to surrender him. It took 23 years and reunion for my to find out that my son's adoption was legally known as a forced adoption and illegal but social workers got away with it because mothers didn't know their rights.
