Going through the family tree

13th August 2010

Today I was going through the back up of our family tree which got disjointed some time ago so am cross referencing it with what we have online.  Just out of curiosity I decided to see if Anthony’s one is back online again.  Last year it wasn’t and I’m not sure when it went down.  We knew his other websites had been taken down as I had checked on one.  Somebody had hacked into his account and put up porn on this particular site.  It did get reported and all his sites were taken down with a message up asking for the owner of the sites to get in touch with the hosting company.  We assume he never did because his account with the hosting company was eventually closed.  I stopped checking after a while.  Today I found it quite quickly and he purchased a .co.uk site last November and it’s hosted on a different company now.  It’s a bit slow and a couple of times an error message came up although the information was coming up.  It’s as if the package he’s on doesn’t like so much information on it.  At least he’s kept up with keeping information for people who are alive as private.  I’m not even going to attempt to register as a member as I don’t think he will approve it.

I still have this fear that if I do contact him that he will take it badly so wont bother unless he contacts me first.  Even then I am still inclined to never to have direct contact with him after the last email.  It’s sad that the situation has got to this stage but I can’t turn the clock back.  The positives are that I know he is alive and well, that we did make memories together and I have had closure of sorts.  The negatives have been the lies and awful behaviour from him.  I know I made mistakes which I have regretted but at least I tried to make things right so have a clear conscience.

About Philippa

I am married to Rick and we live in a small town in County Durham. We have two dogs, a cat and two budgies. I am also an adoption survivor. In 1981 my son was born and I was then forced to surrender him. It took 23 years and reunion for my to find out that my son's adoption was legally known as a forced adoption and illegal but social workers got away with it because mothers didn't know their rights.
