The latest news about mum is that there are discussions for mum to go into a nursing care home when she leaves hospital.  Mum needs round the clock care now but she doesn’t want to go into a care home.  I can understand why she doesn’t want to yet it is a worry.  Dad is 82 years old in May so it will be difficult for him.  It’s not an easy decision for mum and dad to come to.   I don’t know how Caroline feels about it and I have got fed up of asking after her.  Dad keeps it short and simple when I ask after her and family.  I do wonder how much longer mum has got so I am preparing myself for the worst at the moment.  It’s been good to talk to dad though even though I have started ringing regularly because of mum being in hospital.

About Philippa

I am married to Rick and we live in a small town in County Durham. We have two dogs, a cat and two budgies. I am also an adoption survivor. In 1981 my son was born and I was then forced to surrender him. It took 23 years and reunion for my to find out that my son's adoption was legally known as a forced adoption and illegal but social workers got away with it because mothers didn't know their rights.
