Information evening

7th July 2011

The information evening for bariatric surgery was interesting but there always has to be one awkward person.  She asked loads of pointless questions yet the surgeon had already gone over these points.  The lady didn’t know when to shut up either so the rest of us were getting bored.  In the end the surgeon tactfully brought the session to an end by saying questions could be answered when everybody has their one on one appointments.  This is going to be roughly a four month wait.

On Monday and Wednesday Rick had his blood tests done in preparation for the next appointment.  He’s not very happy as we already know his blood is clotting too fast and his sugar level is too high.  Rick is also stressing out about the other appointment to see the surgeon about his back.  It was put back September but as his symptons are getting worse our doctor has told us it should be fast tracked forward.  All we can do is wait and see what happens.

About Philippa

I am married to Rick and we live in a small town in County Durham. We have two dogs, a cat and two budgies. I am also an adoption survivor. In 1981 my son was born and I was then forced to surrender him. It took 23 years and reunion for my to find out that my son's adoption was legally known as a forced adoption and illegal but social workers got away with it because mothers didn't know their rights.
