Dealing with depression

23rd June 2012

I haven’t had any interest in keeping up with this blog for some time due to battling with depression.

It was the first anniversary of my mum dying on the 1st April. We were at church in the morning and I gave my dad a ring in the afternoon. It was good to have the chat with him and helped me through the day.

We have been in a rut though as we seem to wake up, one or both of us will walk the dogs then we will be on the laptop and computer dealing with emails. I have been back to doing the dogs last thing since the plaster cast came off. My ankle still isn’t 100% back to normal but it is getting easier to walk now.

About Philippa

I am married to Rick and we live in a small town in County Durham. We have two dogs, a cat and two budgies. I am also an adoption survivor. In 1981 my son was born and I was then forced to surrender him. It took 23 years and reunion for my to find out that my son's adoption was legally known as a forced adoption and illegal but social workers got away with it because mothers didn't know their rights.
