I’m a grandmother

24th June 2012

Recently I found out I’m a grandmother and I’m not supposed to know about my grandson.  The journalist who wrote three articles back in 2009 contacted me to see if I was willing to do an update article which I am.  She contacted Anthony and found out that he has changed job, bought a house and has a baby son.  Anthony must have realized that she would tell me even though he doesn’t want me to know.  It hurts so much that he doesn’t trust me to know this and not contact him.

The journalist is convinced he is a fantasist as he now says he has three degree and I checked on LinkedIn.  We know Anthony failed the resits of the first two degrees he was working for.  On LinkedIn Anthony still has the two universities he attended and also has the Open University listed as well.  He can’t even be straight about his adoptive parents.  In one breathe he told the journalist that he wanted a clean break from the past and doesn’t see them.  In the next breathe Anthony told her they have seen the baby a couple of times.  She believes he is creating a fantasy life and that he is completely under the thumb with Celia.  Apparently they are going to get married as the wedding will be in the Philippines as that’s what she wants.  The journalist believes that Celia is just using Anthony to get British citizenship.  This just confirms what we and his adoptive parents thought three years ago.

This is just another confirmation that Anthony has well and truly shut the door.

About Philippa

I am married to Rick and we live in a small town in County Durham. We have two dogs, a cat and two budgies. I am also an adoption survivor. In 1981 my son was born and I was then forced to surrender him. It took 23 years and reunion for my to find out that my son's adoption was legally known as a forced adoption and illegal but social workers got away with it because mothers didn't know their rights.
